Polder Winds Blowing

‘Polder Winds Blowing’ is a small series of small pieces for variable winds. Several music schools tried their hands on them last season. And the Dutch ‘Concertzender’ was there to record and broadcast some. I mention a few:

Composers under the Dom: recordings of a project on november, 30 2003 in het Utrecht Centre for the Arts: ‘New and easy’(an initiative of the Holland Music Group, broadcast September 18, 2004.

Music school pupils from Capelle a/d IJssel, Krimpen a/d IJssel and Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel play Dutch composers! The *If you knew them, you’d love them!’ project (Onbekend maakt Onbemind - who makes up such titles??) of the Holland Music Group made this possible. Recordings of the june, 12 concert Capelle a/d IJssel 12:00 - 13:00 De Muzikant Concert;

Same project: pupils of Quintus, centre for Education in Art in Kampen, recordings of 16 april 2005: my Theatertango by pupils Corina Koster, Judith van Taane, Ellen Schwantje, Renée van Riessen, recorders. Broadcast Saturday, 11 juni 2005

  1. Ruth (nee Schwantje) McAllistr, 30 September 2008:

    I surfed into this site when researching the name Schwantje. My father Ernst August Schwantje and was born in Amsterdam in 1905. I am trying to track down other Schwantjes since it is a rather rare name.

    Thank you for any help you can afford me by helping me to contact Ellen Schwantje. cheers from Ruth
